This great website has been setup for all the people of Cornwall.  There is a wealth of information on community groups and health advice/support across the county for all age Groups.  Take a look but please note that the search by area section works best when you enter a large town name, eg, Camborne or Redruth.  Entering 'Pool' or 'St Day' may bring up no search results despite there being a lot to offer all around this area.

NHS psychological therapy and counselling services are provided by Outlook South West with appointments available in our surgery for the convenience of patients. They are Outlook South WestOutlook Southwest.  Click on the names or images which will open their websites in a new window for useful self-help information as well as details of the face-to-face services they can provide.  Patients can also self-refer to this service via the website without needing to see a doctor first.

HabintegHabinteg is a free service to anyone who has experienced a life-changing disability supporting them with issues such as, housing, daily living skills, accessing social opportunities, training, education and employment. ShelterShelter provides free, confidential advice to people with all kinds of housing problems and has an office in Truro. They are able to give advice to clients whose cases come within the scope of legal aid funding and can also refer clients to their national helpline to assist with any matters that are outside of legal aid. The number for their Truro office is 0344 515 2312, their Helpline number is 0808 800 4444 or click here to go to Shelter.


SilverlineThe Silver Line is a free, confidential helpline for older people, open every day and night of the year. They offer information, friendship and advice. There is no strict minimum age limit but most people that ring them are over 65. The Hospital Discharge Service

The Hospital discharge service can support you with your practical and social needs to prepare for a hospital admission or post hospital discharge. This service aims to reach individuals that are socially isolated who have little support from family and friends. Our friendly Hospital Discharge Inclusion officer can act as a helpful point of contact providing useful advice, guidance and support to promote a good recovery.
