New Patient Registration - Currently Suspended

Due to clinical staffing shortages and unprecedented levels of demand on the service the practice has decided to informally close the patient list to new registrants in order to enable us to deliver an effective and safe level of service to those patients who are currently registered with us.

At present we are unable to advise when our list will re-open for new patient registrations but we will keep the public informed via this practice website.

The list closure affects the whole practice, namely:

  • Pool Health Centre
  • Homecroft Surgery, Illogan
  • Trevithick Surgery, Camborne
  • St Day Surgery, Telegraph Hill

There are other practices which cover our practice area with whom you can register.  Information  about  practices near  your  home address can  be  found  at https://www.nhs.uk/service-search/find-a-gp, or just enter ‘find a GP’ in an internet search and this site should come up as one of the top options.

There are a few exceptions that we are contractually obliged to register namely:

  • New-born or adopted babies of parents already registered at the practice who are still living within our practice boundary.
  • First degree relatives of patients already registered at the practice who are living at the same address as registered patients and are still living within our boundary.
  • Residents within care homes for whom we are responsible

The above exceptions are in accordance with NHS England regulations and not something the practice can vary.  If you fall into one of these specific categories your registration will be accepted (please see further information further down this page including our boundary map if you feel these exceptions apply to you).

We are sorry for any inconvenience the list closure may cause any of the potentially new patients we would normally have welcomed.   Please rest assured that we are actively seeking to resolve this situation and will do everything possible to reopen the list as soon as it is practically possible.

Yours faithfully

The Partners of Carn to Coast Health Centres

INFORMATION FOR PATIENTS WHO FALL WITHIN THE ABOVE EXCEPTIONS ONLY

If you live within our practice area you are welcome to register with us and our reception staff will be happy to guide you through the procedure. Eligibility can be quickly confirmed from your address so it would help if you could provide proof by way of a recent utility bill.

Please click the document for a map of our practice area Boundary map

All new patients may book a health check with a member of the healthcare team if they wish in order to ensure that any required tests are up to date and that we have an accurate note of any repeat medication you may be taking.

Medical treatment is available from the date of registration.
